FIRST VIRTUAL AND 8TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF GOSI –GOSICON-2020

The First Virtual AND 8TH conference of the Geriatric Orthopedic Society of India-GOSICON-2020 was held from December 11th to 13th.  Due to the Pandemic the Physical conference that was to be held at Ahmedabad,Gujarat could be not be conducted. Hence the Virtual meeting was held.

Dr Deepak Dave,President GOSI-2019-20 and Dr Bharath Dave,Secretary,GOSI-2019-20 organised the event from their place at Ahmedabad.  The conference was a great success with over 600 plus registrations,over 50 International,National and Local faculties,3 different themes.  It was very widely appreciated by all the faculties and the delegates across the World.  For the first time the event was given Credit Points, i credit point for each day,by the Karnataka Medical Council of India.

The conference  was entirely interactive with only one oration by the National President Dr John Ebnezar,who spoke the “Changing Geriatric Orthopedic Practice-Post Covid Scenario” and it was Chaired by very senior renowned Indian Orthopedic Surgeon Dr SS Jha from Bihar.

GOSI thus set the trend of conducting Virtual Conference in a big way when many major organisations are struggling to hold their annual event online
