That Gosicon-2024 was an astounding success far away from home in Kashmir, is reflected by the wide media coverage that we received for the event. There was widespread praise, appreciations, support and love we received from the people of Kashmir for our efforts. It was one of the finest and most endearing academic and social achievements so far in my life.

3rd October 2024 - Day 1 of GOSICON – 2024 at Government Medical Collage, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir – Workshops On Orthobiologics and Arthroplasty

There were about 85 delegates comprising mainly of post graduates from Jammu and Kashmir valley. The first workshop was of orthobiologics and main faculties were Dr. S S Amarnath and Dr. Madan from Chennai. There was lively interaction regarding the role of orthobiologies in osteo-arthritis of the knees and AVN of hip

The second workshop was a dry bone workshop on knee and hip arthroplasty. The main faculty for this workshop was Dr. Vijay Goni HOD Department of Orthopedics PGI Chandigarh. There was tremendous respond for this workshop and the delegates expressed their happiness and satisfaction over the learning. Both the workshops were held at Bone and Joint Hospital under the leadership of Dr. Altaf Khawoosa, HOD Department of Orthopedics J and K Medical Collage and Dr. Asif Assistant professor of orthopedics.
